good product good price November 6, 2008 i have read a lot amazon ratings before making the purchase. i bought this product three months ago and it is still working fine. i think it'll working this way for i do not know how long.
the size, the weight and the feeling when u touch the calculator is good. there is enough screen to read with no problem plenty of numbers. the design is simple and gives enough bells for the eyes to like what they see. the keys are also well made so there is "i did not push this number without paying attention." the price is around $30 and if you are a student you'll probably like that. we are talking about a quality product here.
conclusion: buy the hp 10bII if you need a financial calculator.
Good Stuff October 15, 2008 I don't use this that much but it works well and is well built and cheap. There are software versions of this calculator that you can buy for your computer if you prefer but not as portable or hassle free as this.
I like it but some fonts are too small October 12, 2008 I've been using the "original" HP 10-B for years and years. I find it of much better quality and easier to use than the Texas Instruments BA-II +. I got this latest version because many of my students now are using it. It's fine -- except that the type font for the alternative functions (gold and blue) is smaller than on my "original". I find it hard to read, whereas I have no problem reading the (gold) font on my older HP 10-B calculator. That's why I give this calculator 4 stars -- when I'm working on my own I much prefer the older model.
Good financial calculator September 28, 2008 The HP 10BII Calculator is the calculator that I'm using for the Real Estate Course. It's a great calculator for Real Estate Agents because it computes payments, interest, amortization etc. quickly and easily. It's easy to learn and use and is reasonably priced. Amazon had the best price with free shipping when I purchased it - however I suggest that if you decide to purchase the 10BII to shop around for the best deal. Overall I think it's a good calculator for the functions it provides and would certainly recommend it for those in the Real Estate Industry.
Keys are very hard to press! August 27, 2008 I was a user of the old 10BII for around 10 years. My old calculator broke down and i purchased the new version. The problem with the new veriosn was that the keys were very hard to press. I had a cramp in my fingers after 30 min of work. I asked for a replacement but the new one had the same issue. I guess it is the way the calculator is build. It is also difficult with HP to find out who can replace me the calculator with another model, that i stopped trying. I would not recommend this HP calculator. Instead i purchased TI BAII+ after a friend's recommendation and i am very satisfied.
